sewsprout

sewsprout is a small business I founded in 2018 out of my love for sewing as a stress-reliever and as a fun pastime. The name is a play on words on “so (sew) sprout” which also acts as my business motto.

I soon gained traction once my friends and family asked where I got my sewn key fob straps. I began handcrafting fabric key fobs as gifts for holidays or birthdays, then eventually began selling them so I could provide for my university art supplies. Today sewsprout is a side business I manage by myself with 150+ sales through etsy and in-person art events and conduct creative photoshoots with my friend Preston.

During the branding process, I wanted an elegant yet playful appearance that combines illustrated iconography and package design with photography. In the future, I’d like to experiment with designing my own printed fabric.
