Aloha, I’m Lisa!

I’m a Graphic Designer born and raised in Oahu. I am a graduate of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with a BFA in Graphic Design.

I previously worked for the Sullivan Family of companies where I took creative direction on illustrating merchandise, designing promotional collateral, and producing layouts for grocery ads. My expertise led me to a position at the Howard Hughes Corporation and now, Refinery Creative – where I’ve further expanded into production, marketing, and graphic design.

For me, design is about bringing dreams to fruition through visual and conceptual storytelling. Growing up with immigrant parents, I've learned to express myself in creative ways to break through the language barrier and was encouraged to foster my creative mind. Whether that was through daily doodling or exploring the internet – my main inspirations stem from contemporary design, East-Asian artwork, and some good jams.

During my free time: I enjoy going to cafes, playing video games with friends, and sewing
